I contacted Restoration 1 after a computer battery backup system battery exploded due to power surge, as a planned power shut down by Com Ed began. The battery explosion caused acid to spray and launched battery pieces under my office desk. As a result hydrogen gas was emitted, requiring the McHenry Fire Department to respond to mitigate any further damage/hazards and to remove the multiple batteries (including the one ruptured) as well as the damaged backup systems. The Restoration 1 crew arrived and neutralized the acid and cleaned up the wall and underside of my desk. They did a great professional job working in a very confined area under the desk and completed the work rapidly for reasonable cost.
